April Update (2025)

  Welcome to April .   A busy month for the Church this year as we will remember Holy Week & celebrate the risen Jesus on Easter morning.   Both churches will also host their APCM.   A huge thanks to Janice and Janet who have been encouraging folks to fill in electoral roll forms.   Please make every effort to attend your APCM and, can you also entertain the thought that you could be the one to fill a particular task, which will enable church to flourish as we journey with God.   There will be vacancies on both PCCs and people will be needed to take on some of the specific offices.   Please, please pray and please speak to me if you wish to know more. Christenings – there are a number of Christenings coming up in the next few months at St Marys.   It is important that the church family knows when these are taking place & I know I haven’t been good at giving you enough notice, for which I am sorry and I seek to rectify.   I do love ...

March Update 2025

  Lent is now upon us.   A time to seek ways of making more time to spend with God.   The ‘40 days’ symbolise the time Jesus spent in the wilderness before beginning his ministry.   Whatever the distractions were in his life, by being away from them he was gifted the space to breathe and to pray, to ponder on what was and to seek what may be.   Lives can get very full.   Let’s us find ways (be it 5 minutes or 5 hours) to put the distractions down and spend that time with the God who is always with us -   Matthew 28 v20 Lent Course….Growing on the Frontline .   Growing on the Frontline | Trailer | LICC We have a great start with this course and around ten people have signed up across the 3 sessions.   The dates below are accurate (we made a few tweaks).
